Cory, who has 3 Reel Tech Custom Rods and a few other refurbs, wanted to upgrade his existing Rogue SS1063 10’6″ 4-8# Steelhead Float Rod with some RECOIL Black Pearl Titanium Guides and some custom colors. The rod came out beautiful and feels lighter now with the REC guides. The standard black wraps were replaced with metallic burgundy with orange trim. Burgundy glitter was added to the epoxy for the finishing touch. Custom can be a simple modification/guide upgrade/custom color change to an existing rod. Enjoy your new rod Cory!

MHX SJ783 6’6″ 8-15# blank, Purple Passion trigger seat, American Tackle Holographic Ring Lock Guides, purple aluminum winding checks, split grip carbon fiber handle system. Wrapped in fuschia main wraps with tri color trim, finished with custom matched marbling in the rear section. Fuschia/purple/silver glitter epoxy complete this custom gem.

Delivered today and ready to fish. Albert contacted me after seeing one of my other rods on my website. He really liked the holographic look of the reel seat and the guides on one of my other builds. We discussed what he was looking for in a rod, came up with a color scheme and a design, and away we went. The nice thing about the holographic components is that they really go well with lots of thread options, and they compliment each other nicely!

A customer had a request for two matching Steelhead rods for his two young nieces. He wanted quality rods for them to learn on and grow into as they progress to becoming his Steelhead fishing partners. He wanted a bright pink theme, and it was agreed that metallic purple complimented that color well.
